Anyone who goes to the gym with any regularity understands how important the post-workout recovery is. It also happens to be one of the most overlooked parts of a gent’s fitness regiment. That is why having a mobile easy to use massage gun goes a long way in making your everday life just a little more convenient.
Hydragun is set to launch in Canada Fall 2021 and the early review is all positive as I had the opportunity to try the massage gun and can say it fits the needs of the everyday gent.
Let’s get right into it.
Power: 3,200 RPM top speed, strong enough for pro athletes and bodybuilders
Range: 6 speeds ranging from comfortable (for injured areas or everyday use) to intense (for work on the tightest knots) 3 stainless steel heads suitable for use with massage creams or pain-relieving ointments
Battery: 3-6+ hours — about double the industry standard — so it’s always ready and can be used on the go
I’m not a professional bodybuilder but I go to the gym often and soreness is a real thing. It certainly has helped so far in reducing some of the muscle strain and tension.
Sound: There is none. The device produces a low rhythmic hum that barely gets noticed unless you’re listening for it.
Weight: It’s a relatively light massage gun, standard for these types of products. It does however give you a sense of sturdiness. Not that I tried but I have a feeling it can survive a fall or two.
Usability: Relatively easy to maneuver. Like all massage guns you will have to use two hands to angle the head when trying to iron out some of those kinks in areas like the inner thigh.
After testing the Hydragun out for a week so far, I can say it certainly has made an impact on my recovery process. When you have a packed schedule, as we all seem to have these days, it can be easy to cut corners in your fitness regiment. That often means less focus on recovery. Having a portable and reliable massage gun ensures you can take your recovery with you wherever you are.
