One of the most highly anticipated events of the year, Apple has unveiled its newest lineup of products and the at first glance, everyone gets a new toy. From new operating software upgrades to the latest in interactive communication, Apple left n no stone unturned. But the cream of the crop came in the much awaited Vision Pro. Apple’s first shot at AR/VR.

Vision Pro
We now live in a world constantly augmented by new sensory experiences. As more companies push the boundaries of what’s possible, Apple has thrown its hat in the ring with the new Vision Pro, it’s first foray into augmented/virtual reality. “I believe that augmented reality, is a profound technology,” said Tim Cook, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Apple. “Blending digital content with the real world can unlock experiences like nothing we’ve never seen,” he adds.
With the ability to overlay your digital content as if its in your own space, control what you see and do through your eyes, hands and voice. “Your surroundings become an infinite canvas” was how Cook put it. The Vision Pro will introduce spatial computing allowing you the ability to move around and make any space an interface. From gaming to work meetings, immersive yourself in everything. The price point however is steep coming in at $3500 USD so be prepared.
IOS 17
Major updates are coming to phone, facetime and messages. The phone app will get an upgrade to personalized contact posters. Leave a facetime message? You can record a message if the person you’re calling isn’t available. Search filters are being added to further specify the results. A new safety feature called “check-in” allows you to keep friends and family informed of your whereabouts with end-to-end encryption.
MacBook Air
Other products include the 15″ Apple MacBook Air. With a sleek thin frame at 11.5mm, this makes it the world’s thinnest laptop and comes in at just over 3lbs in weight. The Air will come in four different colours and has a 15.3″ screen. Also, how does over 1 billion colours sound? Mac Studio also got a huge upgrade with the M2 Max boosting its ability. Designers can render at up to 50% faster than M1 Macs.
