Mercedes-Benz & ChatGPT
ChatGPT and AI have been all the rage over the past few months and there are no signs of the buzz slowing down. It’s only natural for companies to hop on the trend as the technological advances are moving with lighting speed. Mercedes-Benz is not one to miss out and have always provided their customers with state of the art vehicles with updated technology so it’s no surprise they have partnered with ChatGPT.
AI will be intergraded into the voice control of Mercedes vehicles. The MBUX Voice Assistant’s Hey Mercedes is becoming even more intuitive now that the beta program started on June 16th in the U.S. for over 900,000 vehicles.
With a large command portfolio and intuitive operation, MBUX Voice Assistant has already set industry standards and is now going the extra mile. Driver and passengers can receive sports and weather updates, have questions answered about their surroundings or even control their smart homes. The integration of ChatGPT leverages a large language model to greatly improve natural language understanding and expand the topics to which it can respond. Users can expect a more natural dialogue format, details about a destination, recipes and even answers to complex questions without steering attention away from the road.
If you’re interested in participating in the beta program, you can join via the Mercedes me app or directly from your vehicle by using the voice command, “Hey Mercedes, I want to join the beta program.”
