The Grammy Awards are a staple for music lovers far and wide. In preparation for the festivities there were a number of exciting events taking place, one such event being the BACARDI and ISLA MGMT co-hosted celebration to recognize Boi-1da’s “Producer of the Year” nominations.
Boi-1da was joined by a number of celebrity friends, including Jack Harlow, PartyNextDoor, Bryson Tiller, Ella, Mai, Shenseea, Murda Beatz, Vic Mensa, Karrueche Tran, Coco Jones, Freddie Gibbs, Paili The PSM, and more.
Boi-1da is a Canadian-based producer from Toronto who has made a name for himself in the music industry. He has been nominated for four Grammy Awards this year, including two in the Album of the Year category for Bey’s Renaissance and Kendrick Lamar’s Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers.
If the thrill of the weekend and his star-studded party weren’t enough, guests were treated to a variety of specialty cocktails provided by Bacardi and named after Boi-1da’s career-defining moments. The three cocktails included The 1DERFUL, BEST I EVER HAD, and the BOI-CARDI.

THE 1DERFUL
Ingredients: 2oz BACARDÍ Ocho Rum, 2oz Lime Juice, 1 oz Simple Syrup, 2 dashes Angostura Bitters, 6-8 Mint Leaves, 2 oz M&R Prosecco.
Method: Shake all ingredients aside from the prosecco in a cocktail shaker with ice. Fine strain into a chilled coupe. Top with prosecco and garnish with a mint sprig
BEST I EVER HAD
Ingredients: 2oz Bacardi Ocho Rum, 0.15oz Giffard Banana du Brasil, 2 dashes Angostura bitters
Method: Stir all ingredients with ice and pour over a large ice cube in a rocks glass. Garnish with orange zest
BOI-CARDI
Ingredients: 2 oz BACARDÍ Superior Rum, 0.75 oz Coconut Cream, 1.5 oz Pineapple Juice, 0.5 oz Guava Puree.
Method: Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a highball glass filled with (preferably pebble) ice. Garnish with pineapple frond and wedge.
