What do you do when you get home after a long day of work? You’ve already kicked off your shoes, and hung up your coat. Are you reaching for the remote, a snack, or perhaps a glass of vino? Well, we got a chance to try out the Cigar Box Pinot Noir, and paired it with an actual cigar. Sitting outside, and enjoying the combination, was an excellent way to unwind after a long day at the office (or home office, for that matter).
Bold Wine for Bold Living: Cigar Box Pinot Noir
This Chilean pinot noir is made from hand-harvesting grapes from the famous Casablanca Valley. Known for its crisp white wines originally, there has been considerable success growing grapes for pinot noirs, due to the coastal climate. Located only 30km from the Pacific Ocean, the Casablanca Valley is a relatively new, yet up and coming wine region in Chile.
This Cigar Box wine is a purplish red colour and has a medium intensity. Featuring notes of raspberry, cherry, and flowers while combined with vanilla and caramel from the oak. Together with a bouquet of coffee, licorice and fig, with a hint of smoke and nuts.

How to Pair the Cigar Box Pinot Noir?
Thinking about what to have for dinner, or even date night? This pinot noir is best paired with a wide range of fish. Perhaps a grilled salmon or even a seafood linguine. Cigar Box Pinot Noir also pairs well with game meats, duck, and pork with sweet sauces or marinades.
