Ford Canada has teamed up with Maple Leafs Sports & Entertainment (MLSE) to bring the in-arena experience to fans virtually across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).

The initiative will bring back some of that lost in-game excitement for fans while also supporting local restaurants. As the last few years have been especially difficult on the hospitality industry, Ford is looking to support the local communities.

For each scheduled Raptors and Leafs game this season, three winners will be selected via an online contest. Each will receive their own DIY kit to bring that game day feel from the comfort of their own home. Additionally, Ford Canada will partner with local restaurants to provide the ultimate pre-game meal.
Support Local
One of the local Italian restaurants taking part in this initiative is Palma Pasta. Owner Anthony Petrucci notes “it’s been an extremely challenging time for the local restaurant industry to keep the doors open”.
With many restaurants looking for delivery outlets as a means of staying open, this initiative is timely. “Ford’s initiative helps get the message out to a larger audience across the GTA that Palma Pasta is unable to reach”. If you are a restaurant owner or work in the hospitality industry, Petrucci has some words of advice for you. “Re-focus on your business strategy and pivot to accommodate the current situation”.
