There’s something about the vastness that is our oceans. Beneath the beautiful blue waters that span most of our globe lays an entire ecosystem of life waiting to be discovered. From tiny little sea horses to great whites, it’s a world of its own, one not to be disturbed, but certainly one to discover. So when the opportunity presented itself to become dive certified and go down into the depths of the Bahamian waters, I couldn’t say no but not without sporting one of Citizen’s newest divers watches.

Promaster Dive Automatic
Ideal for that summertime exploration, Citizen launched three new Promaster models. A new mechanical automatic diver (my personal favourite) watch alongside two Eco-Drive 200M pieces.
The automatic is a re-imagined modern version of the iconic 1077 Challenge Diver design. With a coated super titanium construct, the watch is both durable and aesthetically pleasing. Ideal for the diver who wants a trusted companion on the wrist both at depths as low as 200M or above water enjoying dinner alongside breathtaking views.
The other Promasters, not to be outshined, are the Citizen Promaster Dive 200m models BN0165-55L and BN0167-50H. Using extreme natural environments such as glaciers and caves, these inspired designs are perfect for your summer adventures. I
n particular, the beautiful light blue dial accentuates the features of the BN0167-50H making it stand out at surface and at depth. A highlight piece for your island hopping adventures.
Gent’s Approved
Yours truly had the opportunity to fly down to Nassau in the Bahamas and stay at the gorgeous Baha Mar resort. There I had the chance to fully immersive myself in getting Padi dive certified by the incredible instructors at Stuart’s Cove. We followed this up of course by open water diving at a variety of depths including 65ft beneath the surface. From there, between learning to regulate my oxygen and swimming with sharks, it was as exhilarating as it was eye opening.
Among learning this newfound skill, I had the opportunity to really test out the Promaster Dive Automatic NB6025-59H. Aside from it’s classy aesthetic, the watch itself is noticeably lightweight despite its titanium construction. Being at such depths, the quality of the watch comes to life. From the vibrant look to the sturdy feel around my wrist. Overall, a diver’s companion, perfect for that gent looking to switch between sharks and evening-wear. Gent’s Approved.
