KitchenAid is ushering in a softer, more grounding aesthetic for 2026. The brand has officially unveiled Spearmint as its 2026 Colour of the Year—a light, uplifting mint-green hue finished with a tactile, sandy texture designed to bring calm and revitalizing energy into the kitchen.

Colour of the year
Announced in Toronto on February 12, Spearmint marks the eighth edition of the KitchenAid Colour of the Year program. More than just a seasonal shade, the annual selection taps into broader cultural and consumer trends. This year’s choice reflects a growing desire for clarity, renewal, and intentional living.

“Research shows that amid global uncertainty, consumers are seeking renewal by redefining success and reclaiming control over their personal fulfillment and well-being,” said Chad Ries, Global Brand Marketing Director at KitchenAid Small Appliances. “That is why we are introducing Spearmint as our 2026 Colour of the Year. Spearmint invites individuals to be present, promotes a refreshing state of mind, and symbolizes positive growth and renewal, embodying a return to self.”
The 2026 release also introduces a new textural element to the portfolio. Dubbed Sand, the finish adds subtle warmth and dimension, giving the mixer a tactile quality that feels both modern and nostalgic.
“When identifying this year’s colour, we were driven by a desire to refresh the senses and find a moment of clarity. Spearmint breathes life into a space, filling it with a soothing yet invigorating energy,” said Brittni Pertijs, Colour, Finish, and Material Manager at Whirlpool. “With this year’s Colour of the Year selection we’re also adding a new Sand finish to our Colour of the Year portfolio which has a subtle, grounding warmth that feels reminiscent of baking, cooking, and the moments we spend creating in the kitchen. Making Spearmint a colour you don’t just see, but feel.”

The shade is available on the Artisan Series 5 Quart Tilt-Head Stand Mixer, priced at $544.99 CAD. Canadians can shop the limited-edition colour starting February 12 through kitchenaid.ca, bestbuy.ca, and select Best Buy stores nationwide. For a brand that has championed colour since introducing its first Stand Mixer hues in 1955, Spearmint represents both continuity and evolution—proof that even in uncertain times, creativity can begin with a single, refreshing shade.
