Peloton is expanding its strength and performance offerings with the launch of its first-ever HYROX Training Program, a comprehensive 12-week plan designed to help athletes prepare for the fast-growing sport of fitness racing. Created in partnership with HYROX—the global World Series of Fitness Racing—the program is aimed at athletes of all levels looking to build the strength, endurance and strategy required to compete.

The launch comes as HYROX continues to gain momentum worldwide, particularly in North America. The upcoming HYROX NYC event, scheduled for May 28–31 and June 4–7, is expected to become the largest HYROX competition in the region’s history, drawing thousands of athletes eager to test their limits.

Peloton’s new training program offers a structured roadmap from foundational conditioning to race-day readiness. The programming is led by a global team of Peloton instructors including Robin Arzón and Andy Speer—both Certified HYROX Performance Coaches—alongside Adrian Williams, Alex Karwoski, Ash Pryor, Chelsea Jackson Roberts, Joslyn Thompson Rule and Logan Aldridge.
“HYROX demands grit, strategy, and relentless focus,” says Robin Arzón, Peloton Head Instructor and Vice President of Fitness Programming. “This program is built to forge both. You will train your engine. You will train your strength. And you will train your mind to stay sharp when fatigue hits. We are not just getting you through the race. We are building you to own it.”
12 week training program
The training program is built around five key performance principles designed to prepare athletes for the unique demands of HYROX competition. A major focus is on developing aerobic power, with threshold work beginning from day one to help athletes manage effort and sustain high performance throughout the race. The program also emphasizes simple but effective training tools—combining running, rowing and strength work to build hybrid endurance.

Rather than prioritizing raw speed, the training emphasizes efficiency and pacing, helping athletes conserve energy during transitions between exercises. Progressive training volume ensures athletes become comfortable working under cumulative fatigue, while additional focus is placed on recovery, fueling and mental preparation as essential components of the program.
The program is intentionally designed to accommodate athletes of all experience levels. Beginners are encouraged to first master technique and mechanics—particularly for movements like sled pushes and wall balls—before progressing to official race weights later in the program. More experienced athletes, meanwhile, can begin using HYROX race weights immediately to refine pacing and improve performance.
Over the course of 12 weeks, participants follow a demanding seven-day training schedule. Early phases focus on building aerobic capacity and establishing control at threshold pace. By week seven, athletes complete a 75-minute race simulation to test pacing and transition skills. The final weeks shift toward race-specific preparation, replicating the fatigue and physical demands of competition day.

Christian Toetzke, Co-Founder and CEO of HYROX, says the partnership helps bring structured training to a rapidly growing community of athletes. “HYROX was built to redefine fitness racing by creating a sport for everybody, and preparation is a critical part of that journey,” he says. “Partnering with Peloton allows us to bring world-class coaching and structured race preparation to athletes everywhere.”
The Peloton x HYROX Training Program launched February 27 and is available through the Peloton App and Peloton hardware. Members can also join the Official HYROX Training Team within the Peloton community hub, where athletes can connect, share progress and engage with instructors throughout the program.
