A nationwide World Cup experience
Canada Celebrates is a first-of-its-kind initiative that aims to ensure the world’s biggest sporting event feels accessible to Canadians from coast to coast. With up to 40 one-day celebrations planned, more than 75 percent of Canadians will be within a two-hour drive of an official stop. Each event will be free to the public and feature live match broadcasts, ensuring fans can experience the drama and emotion of the tournament together, regardless of geography.

More than football
While football is the heartbeat of the programme, Canada Celebrates is designed as a broader cultural experience. Each stop will transform public spaces into vibrant gathering hubs, combining match viewings with football-themed activities, music, food, and cultural programming that reflects Canada’s diverse communities. The goal is to mirror the inclusive spirit of the World Cup itself, where sport becomes a shared language that connects people across backgrounds and generations.
From coast to coast
The programme will launch simultaneously on Canada’s east and west coasts, beginning in British Columbia and Halifax, Nova Scotia. From there, celebrations will roll through cities and communities nationwide, extending the energy of the tournament beyond Toronto and Vancouver, Canada’s two official host cities. As the country steps onto the global stage, Canada Celebrates aims to reflect the stories, traditions, and local pride that define Canadian identity.
Bringing fans closer to the trophy
In the lead-up to the tournament, Canada Celebrates will also support the FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola. The tour will visit seven Canadian cities, offering fans the rare opportunity to see the original FIFA World Cup Trophy up close. These stops are designed to deepen the emotional connection between supporters and the tournament, turning anticipation into tangible excitement.

At its core, Canada Celebrates is about community. FIFA is bringing together professional leagues, grassroots clubs, and national football organizations to inspire the next generation of players and fans. By creating welcoming spaces for connection and celebration, the programme reinforces the idea that supporters are the true heart of the World Cup, and that Canada’s football journey is only just beginning.
