Clear Intent
Achievement cannot be attained without a focused plan on how to get there. Intent creates energy. Clear focus directs that energy in a meaningful way by allowing you to design a plan to achieve your directive.
Support System
You will sometimes have to tap resources outside of yourself for help with keeping you focused on the prize. These sources should be chosen carefully because when you’re mentally depleted and require that extra push, the wrong source can set you back.
Gentlemen, needing help is not a weakness. Not asking for that help keeps you in a weakened state. None of us are perfect or know it all; recognizing when assistance is necessary is simply good brand management.
Beating Adversity
A person’s mental fortitude determines whether they will remain persistent and resolute. Our mindset determines our outcomes and more importantly how we perceive them. Maintaining focus in difficult times will help you find better solutions to adversities standing in your way.
It is difficult to keep up the mental toughness necessary to thrive when there is a lack of order at the core of our everyday lives. If we don’t prioritize our most critical worries, we construct our own barrier to achievement.
Managing Stress
We must first address our major sources of stress before tackling the more task-focused aspects if we are to be reliable and accountable. This enables us to focus on issues that demand our immediate attention. It’s all too easy to become preoccupied with insignificant minutiae that don’t matter but provide the impression that we’re making progress when we’re terrified of failing. Stop allowing this to happen to you. You won’t advance if you avoid what is required because it is frightful.
You are the CEO of your life and you have to manage it like a successful company by developing your mission statement, deciding on what you want to present to the world and then surrounding yourself with the best people to help you deliver the best product. That product is YOU.
