With the over the top commercial marketing for couplehood and extravagant gift giving, Valentine’s day can be a complete bummer for the single gent. Only Christmas beats Valentine’s for potentially the loneliest time of the year, but it doesn’t have to be that way. Rather than searching for someone randomly to match up with, here are some ways to celebrate this love day in a healthy way as a single Gent.
Spa Day
Self care is a great way to spend a day about celebrating love. Love yourself by booking a day at a men’s spa to get a massage, mani pedi and a haircut. Getting pampered is always a great way to feel great about yourself while reaping the benefit of looking good after.
Shopping
Take a page out of the ladies books and take yourself shopping. What better day to book an appointment for a custom suit, or getting yourself a dope new jacket or shopping for a new piece for your home. Whatever you decide, even if it’s heavy window shopping, indulge and just enjoy getting something that will bring you joy.
Volunteer
If you want to be less self indulgent and more altruistic, give your time to a charity organization. There are several that are always in need of volunteers, like soup kitchens, senior living centers or community centers. There is no dopamine rush like the feeling of giving back in a meaningful way by helping someone in need.

Quick Getaway
There is nothing like exploring a new place that you have been curious about. Putting yourself around new energy and vibe is a great way to perhaps learn something new about yourself while checking off a travel bucket list. You can also go somewhere a little more remote and really make it just about you.
Gent’s Night
Chances are you are not the only single person in your friends group so why not plan an evening of bonding with those friends. Don’t make it about clubbing and picking up, but rather about deep diving into goals and plans for the future. There is nothing like openly connecting on a deeper level with those you call friend. Whether it be at a great restaurant or ordering in with some good drinks this could be an evening to celebrate love of friendship.
