Presidential Experience
The gents were in Miami recently to film a series of episodes for the Gent’s Talk podcast series and to set the backdrop for this epic set of interviews (coming soon), we partnered with the Kimpton EPIC hotel. IHG Hotels & Resorts set the gents up with the Presidential Suite and the room was incredible. With breathtaking views through floor to ceiling windows, the suite was spacious, luxurious and a perfect fit for our needs.
The suite featured a spacious bedroom with a bathroom the size of most suites, a large balcony overlooking the water for your morning coffee, a full sized dinner table for hosting, modern and elegant design, as well as an additional guest bathroom. What’s more, the location was prime Miami real estate. Only a short ride across the bridge to South Beach, or any of the major hot-spot areas, you can walk, bike or drive just about anywhere within 15 mins or so (traffic excluded of course).
Amenities
You can’t go to Miami without experiencing a pool-party and at the Kimpton EPIC Hotel, that’s available to you on the 16th floor. Overlook the water with a series of yachts moving along below, relax and take in the sun while sipping on signature drinks from the bar while vibing to a live DJ.

If you want to hop on over to get a quick workout in, the 24-hour full-service gym is a great option featuring free-weights, cardio machines and more. There is also a spa available next to the gym however it is currently under construction. Can’t talk about service without sending our compliments to the staff. They’re friendly, helpful, and most importantly, accommodating. When you’re looking to set up a series of feature interviews podcast style, this takes quite a bit of coordinating. Having a staff that’s able to support along the way is a huge plus as it simplifies things.
Area 31 + Zuma
Calling all foodies. Hands down one of the best wagyu burgers I’ve had was at Area 31. Not to mention the incredibly delicious fish tacos that come with coleslaw and spicy aioli. For the cocktails, the Watermelon Express was a personal favourite but noticed a lot of people going for the classic Mojito.
Zuma is an izakaya style Japanese inspired restaurant featuring a wide range of delicacies sure to satisfy the fish lover in you. From wagyu gunkan to hokkaido uni miso, the options are endless and delicious.

Ultimately, being so central was an incredible bonus. The staff was incredibly helpful, they were able to support a late check-in and an extended check-out. This of course worked out perfectly as anyone who films any sort of content will tell you, scheduling is the hardest part of it all. The Kimpton EPIC Hotel in Miami is definitely Gent’s approved.
