Naruto Ramen
You can’t go to New York and not have ramen right? This hole in the wall spot is seemingly busy at all hours and gives you that New York feel. With only a handful of interior seats, have a back up plan. Of course they do feature an outdoor seating section but the whole aesthetic is inside. The gyoza were packed with flavour, the katsu was delicious, and of course, the Ramen was out of this world. Naruto Ramen is a must try.
The Lobster Place
Chelsea market should be on your radar to visit. While there, stop at the Lobster Place. Trust me, it’s a seafood lover’s dream. With fresh oysters, clams, lobsters and sushi, you can have the best of everything made on the spot in front of your eyes. The price points were decent, definitely not a buck a shuck but the price is worth the flavour. Get yourself a drink and a platter of oysters and have some fun.
Carmine’s
If Italian is your thing, Carmine’s Italian restaurant is a must. A reservation is highly recommended because it’s located right in Times Square outside the Marriott Marquis hotel. The food is packed with flavour but the portions are the main event. Everything is shareable and family sized. If you’re hungry, you can get away with two people, but a group is more ideal. Because everything is family sized, be prepared to spend a little more. Bring your appetite.
Reyna New York
The popular spot in Toronto is opening a location in New York and Gent’s Post had the opportunity to attend the launch party. Expect a series of Mediterranean inspired meals and a fantastic aesthetic. Reyna New York should be on your list.
Joe’s Pizza
Who goes to New York and doesn’t have at least multiple meals of pizza? If you’re looking for what could possibly be the king of New York pizza, than stop by Joe’s Pizza. The pies are massive, flavourful and worth every penny. Be warned, the lines are long at all hours of the day.
