The next time you’re in New York City, consider a few things: Location, location, location. Given the sprawling size and landscape of the Big Apple, where you start and end your day is as important as what you do in between. That’s why staying at the Marriott Marquis should be on your NYC destination list.
Location
The first thing you need to know, if I didn’t make it clear enough already, location matters. Having Times Square literally outside the front lobby means you’re in the heart of the action at all times of the day and night. Not to mention the endless number of restaurants and theatre shows (had to see the Lion King). In an earlier press release, Drew Iddings, Vice President and Global Brand Leader for Marriott Hotels said, “New York Marriott Marquis is the heartbeat of our Marriott Hotels brand.”

Aesthetic
The first thing that stands out is the aesthetic of the place. With futuristic elevators, modern designs and a beautiful lounge area overlooking Times Square, you will automatically feel like you’re stepping into the future. The rooms are spacious and carefully crafted to complete the experience. The hotel boasts 1,971 guest rooms all updated with modern design and a focus on complimenting the city’s vibrancy.
Food
There are two spaces on-site for guest dinning. The first is Revel & Rye Bar and Restaurant which gives off old New York whiskey bar vibes. The spot offers an assortment of foods and everything was tasteful and great on portions.
The other spot is the Broadway Lounge just adjacent to Revel & Rye Bar. With floor to ceiling windows overlooking Times Square, this spot is ideal for your pre-game meal before hitting the town. The menu features a variety of wood fired pizzas, gourmet snacks and handcrafted cocktails. Depending on your access, you can also enjoy the club lounge with complimentary breakfast (and the options are plentiful) and they serve drinks and snacks in the evening.

Service
If service matters to you, which it should, then the Marquis takes good care of you. All the staff are friendly, supportive and go the extra mile to make sure any of your needs are attended to. This is especially important when you’ve just flown into the city and want to check in, or when you’re in a hurry to catch your flight and check out.
All in all, the location is the biggest advantage to staying at the Marquis. Whether you want to stay in Times Square or venture off to the West Village, Wall Street or Central Park, everything is nearby. You could even walk if you were so inclined (Get those steps in!).
