The car immediately made a statement during the race weekend, securing pole position on Friday and then achieving an impressive second-place finish in Race 1 on Saturday. It continued to shine in Race 2, securing a top-ten finish in seventh place. This outstanding debut reignited the rich memories of Maserati’s storied racing history.
As the 2024 season beckons, this 100% Made in Modena racing marvel is set to become an official contender in the championship dedicated to the most striking and high-performance grand touring cars.
Maserati’s return to GT competition through its debut in the European series marks a triumphant comeback, harking back to the 2000s when the iconic MC12 dominated the scene, claiming an impressive 13 titles in Constructors’, Teams’, and Drivers’ Championships.
The Maserati GT2, a worthy successor to its legendary predecessor, follows in the tire tracks of its illustrious forebear and the Maserati MC20 super sports car. It shares the extraordinary Nettuno V6 Twin Turbo engine, which has been further enhanced to tackle the challenges of the racing circuit.
