About The National Bank Open
Formally known as the Rogers Open, the men’s event will occur at Stade IGA in Montreal from August 5th to 14th, while the women’s event will occur at Sobeys Stadium in Toronto from August 6th to 14th. Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Daniil Medvedev (current number one) for the men, Iga Swiatek (current number one), Anett Kontaveit, and Maria Sakkari for the women are the top seeds.
Some notable Canadians in the tournament include Montreal native and world number nine Félix Auger-Aliassime, and Canadian Denis Shapovalov, ranked 23rd. Federer will not play at NBO but will return to tennis at the Laver Cup later this year.
