The 50 Best organization recently unveiled their top fifty bars across North America and seven Canadian joints were listed. While none made the top 10, it’s still a strong Canadian showing that spans across Toronto, Vancouver & Montreal. Taking top spot this year was Mexico City’s Handsake Speakeasy with New York’s Superbueno, Overstory, Martiny’s and Mexico City’s Rayo rounding out the rest of the top five. Mexico City had a strong showing with 15, including number one of course. As expected, the US dominated with 26, although that’s two less than the 2023 list. All in all, seven Canadian joints made it onto the list speaking to the growing calibre of bars popping up across the country.
