For decades, athletes have obsessed over faster shoes, lighter apparel and smarter training. Now, Nike is making the case that what happens after the workout deserves just as much attention. The sportswear giant has teamed up with recovery technology leader Hyperice to introduce the Nike Air Zoom Hyperslide, a futuristic recovery slide designed to help athletes unwind from the ground up. Blending Nike’s footwear expertise with Hyperice’s heat and vibration technology, the innovative sandal aims to make recovery as effortless as slipping off your sneakers after a long session.

Recovery, reimagined
At first glance, the Air Zoom Hyperslide looks like a premium recovery sandal, but hidden inside is technology typically reserved for dedicated recovery devices. A removable magnetic Hyperslide Pod sits within the adjustable strap, delivering targeted heat and vibration across the top of the foot to help reduce tension and promote relaxation. Users can choose from three heat settings, reaching up to 47°C (117°F), and three vibration levels, with customizable 15-minute recovery sessions controlled directly on the pod or through the Hyperice app.

Underfoot, Nike incorporates a full-length Air Zoom unit, providing responsive cushioning while helping distribute the recovery experience throughout the foot. The result is footwear that’s designed not only for comfort but also to encourage athletes to prioritize recovery as part of their everyday routine.
More than just for elite athletes
Although the Air Zoom Hyperslide was created with athletes in mind, Nike says its appeal extends well beyond the training ground. Whether you’ve just finished a workout, spent hours travelling, worked a long shift or simply been on your feet all day, the slides are designed to deliver relief wherever recovery is needed. The launch continues Nike and Hyperice’s shared mission of creating wearable recovery products that fit seamlessly into daily life rather than being confined to the gym or treatment room.
“Athletes leave everything on the field, and the approach to recovery needs to meet them at the same level,” says Tobie Hatfield, Senior Director of Athlete Innovation at Nike. “With the Nike Air Zoom Hyperslide, we wanted to create a solution that kickstarts recovery the moment you power it up—helping athletes feel more relaxed, restored and ready to take their performance to the next level.”
A glimpse into the future of footwear
The Air Zoom Hyperslide builds on last year’s Nike x Hyperice Hyperboot, signalling that wearable recovery technology is becoming an increasingly important category for the brand. Rather than treating recovery as an afterthought, Nike is betting athletes will embrace products that actively help them recharge between training sessions and competitions. The Nike Air Zoom Hyperslide will be available beginning September 29 through Nike, Hyperice and select retailers in global markets.
